Awards for You
If you think your site has what it takes to win Sakura's approval then this is the place for you to be! There are seven awards you can win so read the rules and descriptions and apply below! You can apply for all Seven if you really want to, but only one a week. Good luck!
Award Rules:
- These awards are for Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon related sites only (including Otaku Senshi sites, RPGs, and anything that could be loosely connected to BSSM).
- Your site MUST be in ENGLISH. Sakura cannot read anything else.
- If there is more than one award that applies to your site, you may only apply for only one award per week.
- Hentai is allowed, but keep it tasteful (such as artwork, cultural discussions). Sakura respects your freedom of choice and speech but any such content should always be marked for mature audiences only.
- As always, if your page is under construction, has a ton of broken images and links, or is just plain uninteresting, Sakura probably won't stay very long. The 'Why you think you deserve the award...' is important! You should show pride in your work! Convince Sakura you deserve it.
- Sometimes it takes Sakura a while to get around to handing out awards. If a signifigant amount of time passes, and you would like to contact Sakura about the status of your award, please visit the Contact page for the most appropriate method.
Tips for Submission:
- There are a few things that will cause Sakura to more or less immediately disqualify your page from an award. They are: automatically playing music (in all but vary RARE cases), unclear navigation, lack of content, and stolen/hotlinked images.
- Only apply for an award you honestly think you qualify for. If there are no awards you think your page qualifies for, there is an option listed at the end. However, you still have to make your case for this award and you MUST include a suggested Award Title.
Awards Available
Award 1. Wicked Design
Criteria: Yes, Sakuras live in New England and here 'wicked' means 'good.' ^^;; This award is for technically and artistically mature sites that obviously show attention to functionality as well as aesthetic taste. No templates, no page builders; A site that wins this award should have easy navigation, quality composition, and should load fast. This is for all you web savvy people. *wink*
Award 2. Need Info?
Criteria: If someone needs information and you think your site is the place to go, then this is the award for you. To win this award your site should have oodles of info: more than is humanly necessary about Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. This means more than profiles people. ^.~ Sites with a specific information such as focusing on one season, character, relationship, enemy, etc. can also apply for this award.
Award 3. Inspirational Fanart
Criteria: Obviously, your page must have fanart on it. Fanart by you, fan art by others, as long as it is displayed well and loads quickly, this award is in the bag.
Award 4. Quality Gallery
Criteria: This award does not require that you have a certain number of images in your image gallery, because a great gallery has nothing to do with quantity and everything to do with quality. You can win this award if you have high quality Sailor Moon images that are organized. No fuzzy screen caps, not pixelated JPGs, just show QUALITY images.
Award 5. Beautiful Soul
Criteria: Your web page must be one that offers a service of some kind. Perhaps you make personalized banners or web graphics? Maybe you offer free transparent gifs? Or maybe you spend time creating character pictures or drawing fanart for others! If you are generously giving your time to others, then apply for this award.
Award 6. Eternally Outstanding
Criteria: This award is not easy to win. It is for sites that Sakura admires; it is for sites that make Sakura think 'Hey, this is a GREAT site!" The most impressive and outstanding sites Sakura comes across will receive this award. State you case wisely.
Award 7. ?
Criteria: Do you think your website deserves an award but not for any of the reasons listed here? If you can make your case for your personally designed award that Sakura will personally create just for you. BEWARE: winning this award depends completely on the case you present in your application. Please include a specific title to the award you think you should receive, and good luck!
