Accurate Astera Art
There are a lot of images of Sailor Astera in the galleries here on SSC. Sakura deeply appreciates ever single fanart that she receives, however, one breif look through the gallery and it's clear that not all of the Astera Art images depict Sailor Astera in her actual, correct design. In fact! Sakura's OWN Astera Art page has older images that are quite inaccurate themselves! ^_^In order to avoid confusion for artists and fans, Sakura has created this page which features the more accurate fanart images that she has created or received as gifts or requests. Details are included to further specify the correct appearance of Sailor Astera. Please feel free to use this page as a reference when creating fanart that features Sailor Astera!
Colors
The following image displays something close to the correct colors for Sailor Astera's outfit, hair and skin. The Hex Codes are as follows:
- Blonde Hair: #FFEFAD
- 'Black' Hair: #1A111D (really, it is a very deep purple)
- Skin: #FAE8CB
- 'Black': #1A111D (really, it is a very deep purple)
- Purple: #6E3182 (includes eyes)
Super Sailor Astera - Dark Form
The following images are accurate depictions of Sailor Astera as we first meet her: dark and bent on revenge. The outfit features specially shaped bows - both front and back - with three prongs and regular bowtails for a super sol-style outfit. The collar has one white stripe; the chocker has one golden star at the center. On her forehead is a golden crescent moon. Her two shoulder pads are adorned with a semi-transpartent purple sleeves in the super outfit style. Her skirt has a thick purple stripe along the bottom edge. Her boots are similar to Sailor Moon but they are black and have no moons at the points.
The first image is by Dubird and it is very accurate, though the bow sections do not have to be divided into petals. Sakura generally prefers Sailor Astera to be pictured with her Amethyst Crystal or her daggers as opposed to her sword.
The second image is by Rune and it is quite accurate. No alterations here except maybe some adjustments in the color.
The third image by Song of Amazon looks wonderful, plus the angry expression is nice. The only adjustment here would be to make the bows more pointed and less rounded at the tips. As far as earrings go, any kind of purple studs or dangly things are fine. She was originally designed with three piercings in each ear with purple studs in each becoming increasingly smaller towards the back.
The fourth image is by Kanransha. This is a nice example of how to draw Astera's hair so that she doesn't look like Sailor Mars. ^_^ This image is perfect.
The fifth image was commissioned from Radient-Suzuka on DA. It is very accurate with the exception that her skirt should only be one layer. It still looks nice as two. :3
Super Sailor Astera - Healed Form
The following images are accurate depictions of Sailor Astera after she has been healed. The colors have reversed from the Dark from. The outfit also features specially shaped bows - both front and back - with three prongs and regular bowtails for a super sol-style outfit. The collar has one white stripe; the chocker has one golden star at the center. On her forehead is a golden tiara with a purple oval gem. Her two shoulder pads are adorned with a semi-transpartent purple sleeves in the super outfit style. Her skirt and boots are the same as in the Dark form but with the colors reversed.
The first image is by Lori and it is quite accurate. The only things missing are the super length back bow tails and she's missing a roll of padding on the shoulders. ^_^
The second image by Sakura. This was her first drawing of the Healed version of Astera and is still accurate except for the addition of one more shoulder roll and the long back bow tails.
The third image is by Glory and is pretty much correct except that the back bow tails are a little too long.
Astera Ascended Form
The following images are accurate depictions of Sailor Astera in her Ascended form. This form was a planned form of Sailor Astera that would have appeared in the sequel to her story. While it is most likely that Sakura will never actually write that sequel, the new form of Astera is too cool not to show off. ^_^ Astera's symbol appears on her brooch in this form and the decoration at the center of her belt is a smaller version of her brooch and front bow.
The first image is by Sakura. It is the original concept for the outfit drawn on a Dunkin Donuts wrapper. It is accurate.
The second image is by Lorelei. While this doll is small it is quite detailed and Lei did a wonderful job displaying Astera Ascended in her correct outfit.
The third image by S-Chan is very accurate. Only noticable alterations is that the smaller version of the brooch/bow on the belt looks like it might be a crescent moon instead of the brooch. ^^;
