Sailor Astera is the first Sailor Senshi created by Sakura. This character and her story began their development in 1998 after Sakura had seen the first two seasons of Sailor Moon dubbed on Cartoon Network. While the character of Sailor Astera is a little cliché, Sakura holds the senshi very dear in her heart. Many revisions to the character and story have taken place over the years, and the present version of the story Return of Astera is likely to be the final version. Originally written between 1998 and 2001, the story was revised for the forth version of Sakura's Senshi Circle in 2005.

Sakura's next go at making fan characters came in the form of the Sailor Opals team. Sakura made this team for the fiction The Forgotten Truth; Sailor Sea Opal, Sailor Spirit Opal, Sailor Forest Opal and Sailor Fire Opal were the original names for these four senshi. Sakura started the story in 1999 and finished in 2002. The four new senshi featured in the story were from the same system as the original Sailor Senshi, however they were from another dimension. The basis for the story was the exploration of who might have been Princess Serenity's father in the Silver Millennium. Later, after the story was completed, Sakura decided to go back and develop the characters further. Their names were changed to the current titles: Sailor Amphitrite (wearing blue), Sailor Castalia (wearing purple), Sailor Cybele (wearing green), and Sailor Bellona (wearing red). Sakura also began developing full-length profiles for each of the characters. Currently, only Sailor Amphitrite's profile is unfinished; all the others are presented below. Please also enjoy the Opals Art Gallery featuring images of all four characters. Sailor Cybele - Profile (working model) Sailor Bellona - Profile (working model) Sailor Opal Team Art Gallery |

Sakura's next otaku senshi was in fact created to be featured in an incomplete two part short story which takes place on another planet far from Earth in the Milky Way Galaxy. This planet called Tiane once had a beautiful warrior and guardian, Sailor Tiane. After she was defeated by Shadow Galactica, another soldier was build in her likeness to replace Sailor Taine's power. This technical marvel was the product of determination and love from Sailor Tiane's civilian boyfriend Caleb. Unit CP-X01 is unlike any Sailor Senshi previously created by Sakura. She is 100% android and built to mainly attack physically with an array of weaponry. The question is, of course, can a senshi without a Sailor Crystal truly love and defend a planet? Sailor Hyakutake was created in July 2005 and her outfit was redesined in September 2006 for her first public appearance on SSC. Sakura experimented with a different style for this character's profile that features a more descriptive approach. This character expands on the concept of the Galaxy Cauldron. Sailor Matelea, the Blue Sun Senshi, was created in January of 2006 and is still in development. This character is a continuation of Sakura's interest in developing otaku senshi outside of the Sol System. Sakura developed the idea for this senshi while learning about various stars in the Galaxy that go supernova and because of their mass, they become black holes, sucking in matter from the system around them. Much thanks to Himeno for the Sailor Name of Matelea! <3

This is Sakura's 'for fun' otaku senshi, Sailor Sun as the mother of our beloved Helios. This was created for entertainment purposes and without a lot of seriousness. It's unlikely that any type of fanfiction or further character development will come from this senshi, but she's cute anyway. ^_^
