Whoops! ^_^; I also just booked a $200 plane ticket to North Carolina in May, and I dropped $100 on the Anime Boston convention and AA registration. SO NEEDLESS TO SAY I will probably not be buying any cool toys in the next few days, weeks... months? xD Seems like a good time to reflect!

My goals with this collection started off as pretty much: get everything Sailormoon that I can get my hands on. After three or so years of collecting, I'm starting to realize that I should probably focus a little more. Presently, I have three bookcases in my house full of merch. I got the third bookcase because I had stuff just lying around in piles that did not fit on the other two. Unfortunately, that means bookcase #3 was full upon arrival.

So the question becomes: do I continue with this bookcase thing (husband insists I cannot fit another one in there) or do I start putting up shelving? I love that some people have their collections in these nice, closed cabinets. I don't really want to go spend money on something like that though - I have gotten two/three bookcases for free and the last one was $20 at IKEA. :P I guess I could put a few shelves up over my sewing machine and that could hold a few more things. The other option is to - omg - SELL some stuff to make room for other stuff. I realize that this is probably the most logical thing to do because at some point - no matter how creative I get - that room is going to run out of space. And there are so many pretty things I want still! D:

The collection has reached a sort of point where I know that from now on, most of the stuff I'm going to want to focus on is going to be big ticket items (lockets mainly, and toys). There's a few less expensive things that I still want (plushies, the last few gashapon) but for the most part, it's the shinies I'm after now. So, assuming I make some money at the conventions and assuming I can find said items for sale, there is a decent possibility that I may be offing some of the items I have which take up a lot of space but don't necessarily mean a great deal to me.

It's really hard for me to part with something once I have it though, even if it's a long face doll :P

Hmm, maybe we could build an addition...

Things for Sale & New Collection Pic

I got a new bookcase and took an updated photo of my collection last night:

The Sailor Moon Display V by *SakkysMoonBag on deviantART

I also have some stuff for sale:

SAILORMOON STUFF FOR SALE:

Sailor Mercury Keychain - asking $4

Spinning Adventure Dolls: Chibimoon, Jupiter & Mars- asking $10 ea.
These appear to be unopened though the boxes are a little squished.

Long face Super Sailor Moon with Luna Keychain - Asking $15
She's been out of the box but she's in nice shape. But the other day I ventured back on again!! Here's some of the stuff I'm watching right now:

A Blue Box 17" Mercury - I really do want to get all of these. Right now I only have Moon so this is pretty tempting. But I have a bid on something so I can't swing this now. I'm hoping it might get relisted...
This Stallion Reve - I'm watching mostly to see how high it goes. Call it morbid curiosity! I'd like to know what it sells for in a real auction to have a better idea of what I'd be willing to pay when I do actually try to find one for me
StarFighter Doll - I have this already, I'm just waiting to see if anyone's actually going to pay that much for it. I got mine for $48
PGSM Venus - I have her, but not in the box. And I have the other inners in the box so it would be nice to have Venus too... but I've got money tied up elsewhere so I'm hoping for a relist, again. :P
Mars Petite - I also have this already but not with the Mars card.
Super Moon Gashapon - one of a few that I don't have T_T
Super Chibi Moon Gashapon - another of the few I don't have D:
This wicked cute Serenity plushie - really? That's too friggin' cute!
This pink fabric - Does anyone have a small swimsuit pattern?  ^___^;
Another Infinity Volume - in case I happen to come across $500 somewhere to offer...

That's it for now. The item I have a bid in on is at $70. I am not going to bid again if someone out bid's me. In some ways, I'm hoping someone does because I've realized there are other things I think I want more. D: However, since 'un-bidding' is SUCH a pet peeve of mine, I refuse to do it!

Basking in Victory

Finally.

I just LOVE getting something when I've been after it for years. Of course, there's the thrill of a big ticket item that you've saved up for, but sometimes the small stuff can be as or more exciting when you've been on the hunt for so long.

PGSM Jupiter Purse. It will finally be mine! I've been after this darn thing since I won the first one at the Sailor Moon Fan Panel at Otakon 07. I was quick to find Moon, Venus, and Mars soon after, but Jupiter continued to evade my searches. I have a friend that has one. I offered her $100 (because I'm insane). I offered her 4 custom plushies, but she could not be bribed.

I waited and I waited and FINALLY the power of the moon has prevailed!! $35 later, my PGSM Jupiter purse along with the promotional poster for the set is coming my way!

Ohhhh the thrill of the catch.

Sailor Moon R Movie

I'm rewatching the SMR Movie because I am planning on introducing some friends to Sailormoon with it. I figure it's a nice introduction because it shows the main characters really well, deals with Mamoru and Usagi's relationship, and it has closure as a stand alone story.

Unfortunately, they prefer to watch it dubbed. Gosh. I am watching it dubbed with subtitles now to see how bad it is. Once thing I notice is that the dub adds a lot of extraneous voice lines. Mamoru can't walk out into the flowers and just look like he's thinking about them, we have to actually here him think, "Ah, the flowers are so beautiful. This place is so nice!" Are American audiences just too dumb to get that's implied by his content expression? And when Fiore dissapears, why does Usagi have to say "He's going!" as if that's not terribly obvious. "Yeah, but where to?!" Mamoru replies. Honestly, it sounds so forced. Like, "Here let me hold you hand through every little thing that happens."

This is why movies like UP are awesome. They don't assume kids are stupid.

Can I really show this to my friends? I hate to ask them to read the subtitles when they don't want to, but I can't imagine them watching to dub and being impressed. xD

Of course watching this has reminded me that Terri Hawks isn't my least favorite Sailormoon, but I still like Tracey better. ^_^

Starry Sky Orgel

At least, that's what my Japanese friend says the box says.

I bought one. I finally got a Star Locket. You know, a plastic toy painted gold that plays a little tinny tune when you open the top. You know, $250 dollars later.

I'm rather excited.

No more eBay for me for a while. Going to have to do quite a few commissions to pay this sucker off. :D

I also recently got a 17" Mars and a 17" Venus. I think I also bought another of the re-released manga volumes. I finally have all of the Japanese manga, though 4 or 5 are not first edition.

I LOVE THIS HOBBY

P.S. It's been a little frustrating at work (though nothing really to complain about) but just a huge emotional roller coaster online. Home is good, so at least there's that.

Anyway, I've learned a lot in the last few days. I learned a lot about myself, a little about my friends, and a lot about what I do and do not want. So here's a list, some self reflection if you will. This will be a check point for me. It will be my place to turn back to when I feel like I'm losing sight of things. If this seems TOTALLY out of the blue to you, just bear with me. :)

If something doesn't directly effect me or something I'm responsible for, then there's no need to get involved with it. Whenever I feel upset by something on the internet I need to ask myself, "Is this significant?" before I get all emotional about it.

Misunderstandings are a huge part of why things can go wrong in relationships. Communication is very important and I should always as myself, "Is it possible I have misunderstood?" before I get mad at someone.

I'm not going to get along with everyone, all the time. It's unreasonable to expect myself to be friends with EVERYONE and I can't beat myself up every time I find out someone doesn't like me or is mad at me. I can just do my best to be kind to people, be respectful, and learn from my mistakes.

This means admitting when I'm wrong. It's a very hard thing to do, but I've learned to do it in other parts of my life (like in art), so its time to learn to do this in personal relationships too. Sometimes, I am going to be wrong.

When I am wrong, and I've made a mistake, "I'm sorry" is not always going to solve the entire problem. I have to be patient with people and understand that it takes time to move through certain challenges, and sometimes you break things and they can be fixed. While I really hope that isn't the case this time, I know that I have to come to terms with the fact that sometimes my mistakes are going to have longer consequences.

I love my friends and I want to do what I can to be the best friend to them that I can be. Sometimes they have to teach me important things I don't want to learn, but that's what good friends do.

So that's it I guess. That's my 'take away' from my week. I really want to do all I can to avoid becoming swept up into emotional drama, especially online. There are so many important things in our short lives and I know how silly it is to get all worked up over little things. I will be a much happier person if I just go a little slower and think a little longer. I am an optimist at heart, though I find it hard sometimes to hold to that feeling when I feel drawn into negativity. So I have to be strong and remind myself that there is always something good around. I know I will still make mistakes but I have to just keep going and learn where I can and do my best.

Thanks for reading. :)

Sailor Moon - Genocide

This is version 2. In the dream, I arrived at the shoot late and they were already doing action sequences with other characters so they asked me to hurry and get ready. Apparently, I'd brought the wrong shoes (black boots instead of red heels) and I also had the wrong length for gloves (elbow instead of above the elbow).

The person organizing the event (the Venus) was like "Does anyone have any extra gloves? We can just photoshop them red after." And Neptune ran off to find some. And then there was some local banquet or something with all these Polish women. I guess I knew someone there and she asked everyone to take their shoes off and put them out so I could see if any of them were red heels. None of them were and I said thank you in Polish and everyone seemed sad that they couldn't help.

Then I told Venus that I had a pair of red heels at home and it would take me an hour to drive there and back. She told me to go, and on the way home animals kept running out in front of my car. @_@

It was a really weird dream. I usually dream about things I am afraid of, but I have no idea what was up with this dream since it's not like I'm going to a convention anytime soon :P

My other dream last night had to do with a new mole I found yesterday next to my blistering sunburn T_T In the dream it became huge and mutated and I had to go to the Emergency Room. D:

I'm really really really REALLY excited about the new layout that SailorAstera.com is going to be getting, though it might be a long time before anyone sees it. My husband hasn't even really started making it yet, but I just know it's going to be amazing. He did one mock up before I had decided on art for it and it came out looking a lot like The Oracle's layout. I like their layout of course, but I don't want SA.com to look too similar. I want it to have it's own feel, you know?

Incidentally, I will be re-branding the site as SailorAstera.com instead of Sakura's Senshi Circle. It just makes sense to me now that the site has expanded to include the forums, my blog, CYOOS, and hopefully more stuff in the future.

Maybe I can get that new arc of Astera's story written by Jan to celebrate 10 years :3

PGSM Mercury MIB for Trade

No longer available, sorry!

eBay feedback
LJ feedback
SeraSell feedback

My Thoughts about Seiya and Usagi

I know it's something we fans talk about a lot, but I was laying in bed this morning thinking about Sailormoon (like ya do), and I came to this conclusion: Seiya is great and all, but she's not the one for Usagi.

Fans love it. Seiya is passionate, fun and outgoing. She's very affectionate and sweet and thoughtful. In contrast, Mamoru seems plain, even boring. Seiya seems to be totally infatuated with Usagi, ready to do anything for her. Like I recently read from one fan, their relationship developed naturally through their interaction with one another - no pre-destined plan. Seiya seems to truly, deeply care for Usagi. In contrast, a lot of fans see Mamoru as cold and not very understanding. Maybe they even see him as forced to her side against his will because of some predetermined fate.

But there's one super important thing missing from this: Usagi loves Mamoru.

Sure, she totally cares about Seiya, maybe even has a crush on her, but Usagi's affection for Seiya is a result of her longing for Mamoru. Seiya reminds her of Mamoru. Clearly, we don't see the resemblance! xD But Usagi is looking for comfort when she is alone and scared and she finds that comfort in Seiya. Unfortunately - and I think regardless of destiny - she's not in love with Seiya. When the time comes, when things are very hard for her, she longs for Mamoru. How can anyone forget that scene on the roof in the rain?!

Seiya reminds me of an ex boyfriend of mine. Actually, since I never officially 'dated' him, that term might not be totally appropriate. But the feeling is the same. I was lonely and he was charming. He was there for me, romantic, did all the right things, said all the right stuff. I didn't have a Mamoru that was away, but in the end it was clear that he and I were not going to end up together. I thought he was cute and sweet and all that but I didn't love him the way I think you ought to love someone you're going to make a babeh with :3

The anime did a botch job on Mamoru and Usagi, but they ARE in love on their own accord. Just because he lets her take the lead doesn't mean he's not there for her. In fact, I think that's what people often struggle with. Usagi is the strong one - she is front and center. Mamoru plays her support; he's the great man behind the powerful woman. Just because he doesn't fill this superman role always stealing the show, doesn't mean he isn't in love with her. And certainly Usagi is totally in love with him. Even in the anime, her friends see it and warn her that she will hurt Seiya's feelings by leading him on. They know that she's truly in love with Mamoru.

I understand fans liking Seiya and enjoying her relationship with Usagi because it's a fling, it's exciting, and it's a little scandalous. For me though, what it all comes down to is that Usagi and Mamoru are definitely, totally in love. Even if Seiya made Usagi happy for a while, Usagi did not love her. In the end, their relationship was going to fail - perhaps maybe, in a similar way that Usagi and Mamoru were going to stay together through all the crap they went through.

Ahhhh I love this story. <3 USAGI + MAMORU 4EVA!

It's HERE *_*

My Materials Collection arrived today! OMG It's BEAUTIFUL! I knew it was a paperback, but for some reason I was picturing this flimsy thing, but nooooo it's big like the regular artbooks. OMG IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL! *_* I am totally in love. It's in a great condition too! Just the tiniest bend along the top of the dust jacket but inside it's PERFECT and SO AWESOME. D: I AM SO HAPPY! *joy!*

I have gotten a ton of stuff through trades in the last few days and I will be posting pictures soonish. Just waiting for a few more things to arrive before I do a SakkysMoonBag update. I won't be buying anything for a while (mainly because I have to pay back the cost of the new book >_>) but I should be back into hunting down gashapon in a few weeks.

Looking forward to hitting eBay again and making a list of all the things I don't have! :D

Naoko Dreams & New Stuff

Dude, I had the coolest dream last night! Okay so in the dream I was at a museum or something and it was like a retrospective of Naoko's work. There were these big watercolor paintings on rice paper that were beautiful. That was kind of the main gallery. Then there was clothing that she had designed and sketches for outfits, and OMG the COOLEST part was a really large book, like 24" tall, that had pages and pages of sketches and notes from the creation of Sailormoon. It had doodles and notes about ideas that Naoko had when writing Sailormoon that never got into the story, like other members of Kakyuu's court and information about the senshi and the Moon Kingdom that never made it into the story. It was like a moonie's dream! I was SO EXCITED. And they had an interview with her as a video and all kinds of cool stuff! *_*

Too bad it was just a dream! D: And in the dream I was there with my two friends and they were so bored :P

In collection news, does anyone have a PGSM Jupiter purse? Like this but, you know, with Jupiter on it? I really want one... :O

Also, I've finally managed to obtain all four Banpresto Amazoness Quartet plushies. CereCere and PallaPalla are on their way home now. I paid a little more for CereCere than I ought to have probably but as we know from past experiences, money is not generally worth much to me in face of pretties. *_* I got VesVes and JunJun at Otakon in 2007 for $25 ea. The girl in front of me bought all the Sailormoon plushies at the table but she missed these two because she didn't look through the boxes under the table. I win. :3

I have been working with people on a few trades. I finally managed to get a hold of all five Irwin plushies of the inners and Moon thanks to some help from Bunny. I had no idea that Sailor Mars was a 'rare find' but apparently she's had to come by these days. I don't even remember when I got her - I think she might have been a really old Hot Topic purchase. xD So that's exciting.

I just got Sailor V volumes 1 & 2 in a trade, so I still need Vol 3 if anyone's selling/trading. That's something I should've bought a long time ago, but I'm a slacker on comics. It's really pretty though, and it's funny to see the characters in a different way.

I'm trying to keep focused on gashapon and plushies right now. My goal was to get the four AQ (check!) and now I'd like to fill in at least two full sets of gashapon (probably 2002 Set #1 and 2004 Set #1). I'm not going to panic about filling the others, though I would eventually like to have them all. Once I'm all set on those, I will probably try to focus on saving up for some more expensive wands and such. I still want some outer senshi plushies, but I'm not sure how willing I am to track them down all at once. I will probably spread them out over a few months.

I do still really want the Lunatia L and tamborine (damn! it sold T_T), but I haven't been able to bring myself to spend that much on it.

Okay that's enough blathering for now. <3

Re-focus: This time it's serious

This fandom is havoc, I say! Havoc! D:

It's hard to focus when there are so many cool toys out there. I've only been collecting seriously for just under two years, and I'm just now starting to realize that if I don't FOCUS and make a PLAN then I am just going to end up with a ton of junk.

Actually, I have to rephrase that because nothing Sailormoon is junk to me. I will just end up with a ton of it. :D Having a lot of Sailormoon stuff is great, but having great Sailormoon stuff is better. If I spend all my time and money buying up every little shiny that catches my eye on eBay, I will never be ready when THOSE ITEMS come along.
Hey, it's already happened to be before. I had a few hundred dollars in my PayPal account last year and I went on a spending spree. I bought any little thing that ticked my fancy. What happened? The Materials Collection showed up the next week and sold for $170, well within my range a week before. Tragic, really. And that's not the only time I've seen one of THOSE ITEMS show up at the most inopportune times.

I'm getting organized. I made a list of the items I want. I am going to prioritize this list and focus on the items that I really want the most. Will there still be purchases of opportunity? Will there still be impulse buys for that "OMG too cute" plushie? Sure there will be. But at least I will FEEL like I know what I'm doing. At least maybe this time, when one of THOSE ITEMS shows up for sale I just might be ready.

Put on your game face, it's eBay time! *dance*

My extensive Wish List is here. I've joined the serasell, sailormoonfans, and smcollector communities over there and I plan to be more active. I'm not terribly familiar with LiveJournal so it's taking some getting used to, but it's very exciting to be connecting with more people who share my (sometimes obsessive) hobbies.

Speaking of my obsessive hobbies, I wonder how many of you can relate. I recently become pretty good friends with a few other active Sailormoon merch collectors. It really feels good to know that I'm not the only one that goes through physical pain in the process of this journey. It's a real emotional roller coaster ride I've gotten on, and sometimes I wonder if it's even very healthy.

I'm very passionate about my hobby. I can understand why a person who has never had this level of devotion to something would think me mad. However, having recently discovered that so many others share the same enthusiastic vigor as I, it's become something of a badge of honor for me.

Yes, I get stomach aches during eBay auctions. Yes, I cry with tears of joy when I FINALLY get a long sought after item. I coo it and show it to everyone and give it a special place, on a special shelf in a SPECIAL room in my house. Yes, it hurts me to think of all the beautiful things I will likely never own. I dream about finding and owning these things. I watch things on eBay that I don't have the money for just to TORTURE MY SOUL. Do I sound like a materialistic psycho that is unhealthily obsessed with a cartoon show from the 90s? YES! YES I DO! ^_____^

I've considered therapy, but in the end I know I don't want it to go away. I want to feel the joys and pains of collecting Sailormoon stuff. It's a metaphor for life! I work hard to achieve those things I want. Sometimes those things are not there to have, and sometimes I don't have what it takes to get them, and sometimes SOMEONE ELSE gets them! BUT I PLOW ON! Determined to make the best of every auction, every yard sale, every dollar store. I will seek out new Sailormoon toys in new locations. I WILL BOLDLY GO WHERE MANY OF YOU HAVE GONE BEFORE.

And I will not refinance my house to buy toys.

Is there anything more you could ask of me!?

Cutie Moon Rod in Box, for sale yo!

Come and get it!

It came! I think this is the first time I've seen this on eBay O_o
Of course, having just bought a Tier, I would much like a Chalice but as you can see from the price, that's not going to happen. First things first: there's a dealer here that is selling THE MOST COOLEST Sailormoon stuff. EVA.

I got an Eternal Tier. In the box. It's BEAUTIFUL. And I got a box set of four Sailormoon World dolls of Saturn, Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune. I also bought a Uranus and Neptune gashapon. They are mad cute. :3

Clearly I have spent enough money for the weekend. lol

Okay so the other thing: Bob Betts is here. The creepy, 60-something year old man that runs a certain Sailormoon web site that I don't like. I don't like him or trust him because of things he has said in the past and how rude he has been to me. And he's HERE at the con, walking around with two bunnies in a baby stroller. CREEP. E.

Okay that's all. I'm totally GEEKING OUT. The guy with all the Sailormoon stuff has all three Japanese Starlight dolls in the boxes for $190 for the set. He also has an out of box Spiral Moon Rod that I was going to buy until I saw the Tier. He had VesVes, JunJun, and PallaPalla dolls. Lilly bought JunJun and PallaPalla. Jealous. Those were like $90 ea. And then he also has the Sailormoon change doll and the Chibimoon one, as well as some of the large Excellent Figures and ALL FOUR of the Amazon Quartet Plushies. Oh yah, I'm like splooging all over this poor man. I had to walk away. I was practically in tears xD

All right, I'm going dancin!

Animazement & Stuff

Well, my artbook isn't here yet.  I know, I know.  It's been almost a month, but I did pay the absolute cheapest shipping for it.  The seller said it would take about three weeks.  It will be four on Sunday.  But I'm an optimist!  Maybe it will come today! ^_^;

As long as it comes.... someday. T_T

I finished two plushies recently: Sailor Saturn and Sailor Pluto. I am bringing them with me to Animazement next weekend and putting them in the Art Show. I am thinking about starting them at $25. I think both would sell for at least that, and hopefully people will bid them up a little more. If I get $50 out of it, that at least pays for the con registration.

I hope they let me display my cards along side them.

I'm bringing my new costume (Sailor Xiao) as well as at least one form of Astera, Esmeraude (if I can remake her jewlery), and hopefully I will have Phobos done too. I'm REALLY excited.

Not much on the eBay front since I don't have any commission money coming in. I did just recently get all three movies on DVD from Mika, so that is something I can check off my "to do" list. I had them on VHS, but like Steve said, "VHS is like not even a thing."

Ha.

I was watching a Materials Collection with sad eyes. I also saw some cute dolls and a Lunaita L that I do eventually want. *sigh*

Patience Sakky. The buying will begin again...

Finally! Artbook III

I finally got it: Sailormoon Artbook Vol III
$80

I hope it's real, I really do. T____T

I also put a bid on this one, but that auction has like 8 days left so I am sure someone will out bid me. At least, I hope they do! :O All though having two sure is better than having none :)

I've been staying off eBay because I haven't been taking commissions for a while and I don't have the money to blow. However, someone recently gave me some Sailormoon stuff in exchange for art so I was able to sell that stuff to buy the book. The other item I've been watching for months is the Chibimoon Petite which I still plan to buy...eventually, when I can commit to the $10. u_u

I have to take a new photo of the collection because I've gotten a few things since the last photo. I'm having trouble because that room is an absolute disaster right now as it's doubling as an art studio. I have a fine art show in June so once that's up I can start taking commissions again and buying more stuff.

I think I am going to start focusing on the wands and toys now. I'd like to save up and get some of the really high end priced items. It's always good to have a goal because then you can focus on saving up for that special item. So, starting in June, my target items will be:

Materials Collection - It's poped up TWICE since I've been broke, gosh that makes me mad.
A Sailor Jupiter plushie - any really, since I don't have any of her.
Star Henshin Wand - because yes, it's pricy
Crystal Star Locket - Since I've always really wanted it, but it comes up so rarely I'm not optimistic
Disguise Pen - Because I think it's one of the coolest toys

Is it horrible of me to think things like, "I'm glad there is a recession because the Sailormoon toys are cheaper and more people are willing to sell them"? I feel like an opportunist. But really I'm just an obsessive freak :D

Incidentally, if anyone has the PGSM Jupiter purse: I want it real bad. So, I've been staying away from places like eBay which temp me with their shiny.

Holly from Moon Collection told me about SeraSell on Live Journal, but I'm so inept at using LJ I fear it might not be that useful to me. But once I have money again, I am sure I will try it out.

I am trying to save up $68 to buy a ton of felt with Pure. Also, I owe DracheaRannak on DA $45 for a commission I'm on a waitlist for. I just cannot resist his sailor art, it's too beautiful. *_* I also still owe my savings account $60. >_> So basically, fail.

Anyway, I've been randomly sad for a few days and I don't want to think it's a Sailor Moon stuff withdrawl because that would mean that I am INSANE, but when DavisJes sent me a Sailor Mercury keychain for my birthday on the 17th I pretty much spazzed.

The reason I've stopped taking commissions is because I need to make artwork for my show in June at Truffles in Milford, MA. I have a solo show there in June. The opening is June 7th from 2-4PM so I have a lot of work to do. It's been great to get back to making 'fine art' but my HOBBIES ARE SUFFERING! >:O

Anyway, I'm not going to look on eBay for all the shiny stuff I can't get right now.

I just wish I could get that last artbook sooner rather than later so I can have some closure.

WHY AM I CRAZY!???!??!?

Three down, one to go!

So it came today, my Sailormoon Artbook Vol I from japan-ssdyuk. Even though the listing says $59, I only paid $47.99. Too much for an artbook? Yeah, probably a little, but that doesn't matter much to me. I just want the SHINY! *_* (Incidentally, if you are in the market, it seems they have another one for only $41.99, as well as Volume II for $39.99)

I must admit, I was worried it could be a bootleg. This person has listed artbooks before and been unwilling to provide additional images of the books. As a matter of fact, I have contacted them in the past to ask for pictures of the semi-transparent page in the front to be told they are "too busy for my demands." Well that just shouted scam to me.

But this time when they listed it, they included a shot of the semi-transparent page. When I went to buy this particular book, I actually found they had blocked me from their auctions! :O I contacted them to ask why and they passed it off as a mistake of some sort. Whatever, you blocked me because I was asking too many questions. Well SORRY if I want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off! >,<

Not sure why they seem to think that Volume IV is worth $104, or why Volume III is listed for $209?! (Seriously, that's a Vol V price, maybe...)

But anyway, I have now replaced three out of four of the bootlegs and only Vol III is left. I hope I can get it soon and end this nightmare of bootleg artbooks! :D I am giving away the bootleg copies for free. You can read more about it on my deviantART journal page. Raffle is on Feb 17th (my birthday!).

I don't have any money for toys right now because 1) I stopped taking drawing commissions to focus on art for my show in June and 2) what money I am getting for plushies now is all going to Animazement in May. So that's essentially killed my eBaying. But that doesn't stop me from watching shiny things.

Star Transformation Wand - Want it, but not for $300. I would pay $150 for this and if I had the money I'd make the offer. But I don't! It's just not my time~~~
Lunatia-L - def going to buy this eventually
Artbook III - well there it is... I wish I had some money T_T I don't know, I'm just crazy enough to buy it anway and then try to take some last minute commissions in early May to make up the money for the con.

Ugh torn! My Sailor Moon life is sooooo dramatic. And practically no one reads this! *g*

Buyer Beware: Scathing Seller!

For any one of my friends who also collects SM items: please beware of a seller on craiglist who is offering some rare Sailor Moon items including a S star wand. I can't seem to find the craigslist page right now, but the email address of the seller is Rich Roth and the email address he used is rgr72344@gmail.com. He claims to be selling the items for his daughter.

This individual is intensely rude and absolutely terrible to communicate with. When I contacted him about prices for the items, he asked me to make an offer. When I made an offer he flipped out at me, screaming in caps lock and insulting me because my offer was too low. Clearly, asking me to make an offer means you are willing to negotiate. Flipping out and screaming at me is one way to lose business.

So buyer beware, this person is trying to scam people out of money and has absolutely no sense of business skill. Seller claims to be 62 years old but told me to "go f*** myself." (without the stars, and in caps)

They wanted $650 or more for a Star Transformation Wand MIB. Seriously. It is not worth that.

Just a fair warning in case you happen to come across this person.  It's really a shame since they have some great items to sell.  ^_^;

New Stuff and More eBay

I bought a boxload of stuff from a nice girl named Holly on Facebook. She sold me a set of five Irwin light up dolls, you know the ones with the ugly faces and gold trimmed skirts? I love the outfits and they fact that they light up, even if Irwin's early dolls had really ugly faces. I will get pics of them tomorrow hopefully.

I also go the entire Japanese manga from her, which is basically amazing since I never thought I'd be able to get it all at once, especially for such an amazingly almost obscene low price of $75. (all though, of course today I see it on eBay for $60, BUT WITH $40 SHIPPING WTF?! I guess I win.) I asked her repeatedly if she was *sure* since I know she could probably have gotten a lot more for it in a bidding war.

I also got some gashapon from her that need to be cleaned up. One of them has a bit of a broken leg that needs to be glued back on, and I also have a Chibi Moon doll duplicate now. I have a few other things I will be putting up on eBay soon.

A friend of mine who works at a library gave me a few copies of Newtype magazine from 2002 in Japanese that she had lying around and GUESS WHAT?! There was totally a centerfold Sailor Moon poster! I geeked out.

I am still waiting for some items to come from my friend for an art trade we did a while back, and I also am still waiting for my English manga to be returned to me. Patience is a virtue. I don't have it! :D

I probably won't be buying too much anytime soon since I really need to save up for Animazement.  I am going to get some English dubbed DVDs of the first season for my 6-year-old sister so she can watch them.  She recently spent a night at my house where I dressed her up in my Sailor Astera costume and she created her own otaku senshi, Star Sailor Moon.  She actually refers to BSSM as "Star Sailor Moon" though I am not sure why.  ^_^;

As I'm typing how I'm not going to spend any money on SM stuff, I find the Vinyl Sailor Star Maker doll that I am missing.  T_T   Nyah, I bought it.  ^^;

Okay here's all the stuff I am NOT going to buy that's ending soonish:
The Materials Collection - starting at $200.
SailorPrincess - what the crap is this?
Diana Plushie - this is the same wicked cute one that I have.
My Dear Friend - isn't this person basically saying "this is a bootleg" in their description?
The Japanese Manga Re-Release - full set
WTF is this?? - seriously O_o
Cute Mini Mood Rod assembly kit - looks fun :3
Is this person serious? - $144 for 12 keychains?
Artbook 5 - Looks legit :D Starts at $20
Irwin dolls - If I break down and buy anything it will be this. I need to replace my Venus and Mercury and tada, there they are. If it stays kind of low I will proabably bid.

Incidentally, does anyone buy cells? I've never gotten into that because 1) it can be very expensive and 2) I don't think I know enough about them to avoid being scammed.
